Charity Golf Classic
29/30 November 2025
47th
Skyline - Principal Sponsor
The first Skyline Golf Classic was held in 1979 and the tournament has been continuously sponsored by Skyline Enterprises ever since reflecting the strong ties created by the Hylton Hensman initially as both an founding shareholder of Skyline Enterprises and a driving force behind the golf club's relocation to the Kelvin Peninsula, in plain view of the Skyline Gondola, in the 1970's.
We believe this to be one of the longest continuous sports sponsorships within New Zealand.
Current Format
The tournament is a two-day pairs tournament. The scores from day 1 and 2 are added together to determine the winners.
The field is limited to 120 teams (240 players).
The next event is scheduled for 29/30 November 2025. Email proshop@queenstowngolf.co.nz to register your interest in participating.
Over the 40+ years there have been a number of different tournament formats however over the past few years we have had the following:
Saturday – Day 1: Combined Stableford. The individual scores of both players are added together at the conclusion of the round.
Sunday – Day 2 – Better Ball Stableford. This format takes the best score between the pair from each hole. This is then added to the Saturday team score.
The 2024 Charity
Pivotal Point empowers families to support neurodivergent children, providing guidance, screening in schools, educational workshops, and financial aid.
At least 20% of the population is neurodivergent, emphasising the need for inclusive education and increased awareness throughout our community.
100% of the funds donated will help local children and families within the Whakatipu Basin.
